Mommy Makeover

What is the Mommy Makeover?

The “mommy makeover” is a combination of procedures designed to restore various parts of the body, particularly after pregnancy. It usually includes a “tummy tuck” (to remove the lost skin of the abdomen) and “breast enlargement” (to lift the chest that has fallen). “Liposuction” can be done to help the body contour.

Is the Mommy Makeover right for me?

The mommy makeover can help you reverse some of the effects of motherhood on a woman’s body, flattening the stomach and restoring breast enlargement and volume. But this does not replace exercise, a healthy diet or any solution to lose weight.

When is the Mommy appropriate makeover?

– You are physically healthy and with stable weight.

– You have realistic expectations

– You lost skin around the stomach, and your bust began to lose volume.

– You have an excess of fat in the stomach that does not respond to the diets or exercises.

The most suitable candidates are those who maintain an adequate weight and a healthy lifestyle. If you smoke, you will have to leave it for at least 6 weeks before and after the surgery.

How should I prepare for a Mommy Makeover?

For recovery you will need enough rest and take it easy. You should take 2 to 3 weeks out of work and have someone take you home after surgery.

You will need help with your children for at least the first week, and in the next couple of weeks you will need help with things like bathing your children, arranging the car seat, etc.

Before the day of your surgery, gather everything you need for recovery. Some things you may have on hand are: compression garments, analgesics, stool softener, and simple, healthy foods.

If possible, have company by your side during the first two days to support you personally, doctor and household chores.
